“We’re sitting in a rocket at takeoff. For our crew, we need people who want to take the steering wheel in their hands and give it the right direction.”
Rolf Winterscheidt and Moritz Delbrück: “Our rocket needs more clever minds”
Moritz Delbrück:”Since the start in February, our development team has grown to 17 people – we urgently need to continue growint the team, because we still have a lot to do. With the Netherlands we have brought our first European country with Hello Law to life. We currently have over 15,000 customers. This is much more successful than we thought at the start. The idea of offering legal services at a reasonable price is well received. Whoever calls our contact center as a customer has a lawyer on the line who takes care of the caller’s problem with human empathy. The caller does not hear any legal gibberish, but receives constructive help in a language that is generally understood. Our next step is to expand into other European countries: Spain, Italy and France. In 2018, these are our next targets.”
Rolf Winterscheidt:”The application behind Hello Law is a web application developed on the basis of Scrum. It is based on the Amazon Web Service. In addition to the LEPP stack (Ubuntu, nginx, Postgres, PHP) we are now using Symphony Flex, because this framework is simply strong. But none of these are fixed for all eternity; we like to try out new things and choose the most advantageous option. Our LegalTech solutions start as small prototypes, through which we gain experience with new technologies. With api. ai we are currently building chatbots, document generators with node. js. We have already had some experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence. Trying out means making mistakes again and again. It’s only human. Learning from mistakes is the most sustainable option, because that’s how we get better every day.
“In a company like Justix, I can see the immediate effect of my work”
Deepthy tells us what motivated her to choose a job with Justix
Google was my first workplace ever. There I learned a lot and was able to take on bigger and bigger tasks in marketing. I was employed at the European HQ in Dublin, and was temporarily in Mexico. But at some point I wanted something different, a smaller environment, so that I could set things in motion faster. To do that, you don’t have to work for a global corporation, I knew that.
So I went to Maastricht and graduated in Behavioural Economics and Psychology, because I wanted to expand my knowledge of marketing. Afterwards I found the job as Marketing Manager at Justix in my hometown of Cologne. We are a team of lawyers, developers, IT professionals and business people from many different countries. Even though part of the team is based in Cologne and another part in Maastricht, we all share the same goal: to make HelloLaw a big thing all over Europe. Here I can really make a difference, see the success of my work and how I contribute to the overall success of our team. It’s completely different than before, but it’s exactly what I want.
The idea of HelloLaw is strikingly simple: For a small annual membership fee, private individuals or entrepreneurs receive legal support in all circumstances. Simply by calling the Contact Center. Experienced lawyers will help you there, whether it’s a car accident, a divorce or the termination of your home or job. The fact that the lawyers on the telephone are not part of the paragliding community, but really sensitive people is important for the success of HelloLaw. And because in particularly blatant cases, a small head-to-head greeting comes with the post office, HelloLaw is not only efficient, but also good for emotional balance.
